, bringing together musicians, artists and music and art educators to both educate and entertain students, workshop participants and visitors to the Gallery. To date the Jazz Lab has produced music CDs featuring the musical talents of E.J. Gold, Bob Canatsey, Jimmi Accardi, Robbert Trice, Bob Bachtold, Pedro Gonzalez, Matthias Schossig, Justin Lowis, Isaac James, Aja Salvatore and others.
To rave reviews, Gold has also conducted "Music for Morons" workshops at the Mill Street Gallery, giving beginning musicians a structure within which to delve into musical performance.
As a volunteer to the Museum of Ancient and Modern Art (MAMA), Gold initiated and participated in the Museum's twenty-five years of Free Saturday Morning Children's Art Classes in Nevada City, California, which course received numerous commendations from state and local educational departments for its contribution to the art education of the children of the County.
Gold also provided his expertise and talent in helping MAMA develop the TAP (Travelling Art Program) Tours which brought to elementary schools in six surrounding counties programs on Ancient Egypt, "Mummies, Myths & Magic," "When Dinosaurs Invented Flowers," "The Medieval Art of Illumination," and "The Martians have Landed!"
