Photo of E.J. Gold and Alfie Bester in conference tete-a-tete
E.J. Gold and longtime friend Alfie Bester in an impromptu short-short collaboration (ref: "The Quick Brown Fox Jumps Over The Lazy Dog" not yet published) on one of the very first laptops, the Radio Shack 100, with a full 64K of RAM onboard and a built-in modem! You could send over a page and a half of solid text! There are clubs of owners of this Middle Kingdom relic, and believe it or not, they're still very much in use. Courtesy Willem deGroot.
